The year 2018 has consecrated the Itria Valley as a destination
much loved by Italian and foreign tourists: Martina Franca, Alberobello,
Ostuni, Locorotondo, Cisternino have welcomed, during the summer now passed,
hundreds of thousands of people hungry to pack stories of Trulli, traditions,
and emotions.
Deciding to spend your vacations in Valle d'Itria means, in
fact, not only discovering the incredible natural, artistic and enogastronomic
heritage but also having the possibility to stay inside the typical Trulli. A choice that, sometimes even
unconsciously, contributes to the preservation of our historical rural
heritage, encouraging the restoration and recovery of these ancient dwellings,
very often abandoned.
As in the case that we are about to present: an ancient complex of Trulli, immersed
in the countryside of Martina Franca, will be the subject of a detailed and important intervention of
recovery that will bring to light a luxury
country resort.
A multi-handed project, which provides more skills: that of
the surveyor Giovanni Basta, the architect Mina Ritella and, of course,
our staff that will perform the work. The concept of the restoration aims to
give new life to these Trulli ensuring the integrity and the original beauty of
the place, enriching them with all the comforts.
The project involves
the restoration of 4 existing Trulli and the construction of 2 new Trulli:
from a large living area/kitchen, very bright thanks to the presence of a French
window, you will access to two comfortable double bedrooms, each with its
private bathroom. A trullo detached from
the central complex, moreover, will be used as a relaxation area, with a sauna
and Turkish bath.
As for the exteriors, the restoration, and recovery of dry stone walls and the
creation of a green area with garden and
olive trees. The project also provides for the recovery of the old threshing floor to become a convivial outdoor area,
with a kitchen and barbecue in stone and wooden roof.
Finally, the last intervention will include the construction
of a swimming pool of about 49 square
meters, surrounded by olive trees.
The materials will be the simple ones of the Apulian
tradition, such as stone and lime, iron and wood for essential lines that
contrast with the candid white of the Trulli, giving the place that typical
atmosphere of the territory.
